Welch Capital Team – Founder & Senior Portfolio ManagerMr. Welch founded Welch Capital in July 1996 and currently serves as President and Senior Portfolio Manager. Previously, he was employed for over five years as a Portfolio Manager with Eagle Capital Management. While at Eagle Capital, Mr. Welch managed over $120 million in assets while providing industry expertise in the healthcare, technology and business services sectors. Prior to his joining Eagle Capital, he worked as an Associate for Boston Ventures, a firm concentrating on management buyouts. Prior to that, Mr. Welch worked as an Analyst for T.A. Associates, a Boston-based venture capital firm, with interests in both private and public technology companies. Mr. Welch holds both an AB and an MBA from Harvard University. [top] Christopher W. Welch, CFA – Senior Portfolio Manager & CCOMr. Welch joined Welch Capital in 1997 as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Chief Compliance Officer specializing in the telecommunications, networking and consumer technology sectors. He has over eighteen years of investment experience. Prior to joining Welch Capital, he was a Portfolio Manager with Bankers Trust Investment Management in both New York and Hong Kong specializing in international bonds and equities. Mr. Welch also worked for Smith Barney as an Analyst in their Investment Banking Technology Group and Financial Restructuring Group. Mr. Welch holds both an AB and an MBA from Harvard University. [top] Jeffrey D. Mead, CFA – Chief Operating OfficerMr. Mead joined Welch Capital in 1999. He currently has 10 years of experience in asset management. Prior to joining Welch Capital, Mr. Mead worked as a Portfolio Administrator/Auditor for Credit Suisse Asset Management and as a Trader/Operations Assistant for ARA Portfolio Management Company. He holds a BA in Economics and Business Administration from Ursinus College. [top] – Senior Technology Analyst Mr. Seshadri joined Welch Capital in 2004 as a Senior Technology Analyst. Prior to joining Welch Capital, Mr. Seshadri was co-portfolio manager for Leverett Capital Advisors, LP, a long short technology and IT services hedge fund. Prior to Leverett, Mr. Seshadri worked as a Senior Equity Research Analyst at Balyasny Asset Management and as a Project Manager at both Cambridge Technology Partners and Deloitte & Touche. He holds a Bachelor of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, an MS in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University and an MBA from New York University. [top] Paul Jozefek, CFA – Health Care AnalystMr. Jozefek joined Welch Capital in 2002 as an Analyst. Prior to joining Welch Capital, Mr. Jozefek was an Institutional Analytics Intern at CommScan, LLC in New York. Prior to that he was a Verifications Intern at BackTrack Reports, Inc. in New York. Mr. Jozefek holds a BS in Finance and Accounting from New York University, Leonard N. Stern School of Business. Prior to joining Welch Capital, Mr. Treitel was an analyst at Berenson & Company, a boutique investment bank in New York. He also worked as an intern at Coronat Capital Management, a hedge fund focused on global emerging markets. Mr. Treitel graduated cum laude with a BA in both Economics and English from Columbia University. He was a recipient of the Rabi Science Scholarship and the Intel Science Talent Search (Westinghouse) award. Previously, Mr. Choe had been a Consumer and Retail Group Intern Analyst at Barclays Capital. Prior to Barclays Capital, Mr. Choe was a Global Private Client Group Intern Analyst at Merrill Lynch. Prior to Welch Capital, Mr. Lam was a trader at Advent Capital Management executing convertible bond, equity and option trades. Previously, Mr. Lam had been a Senior Equity Portfolio Administrator at Neuberger Berman. Prior to Neuberger Berman, Mr. Lam was a Senior Associate at Montgomery Financial Services. David MacCallum – Managing Partner – Outer Islands CapitalDavid has a long and distinguished career in the healthcare sector holding senior positions in research, investment banking and investment management. David founded Outer Islands Capital, a hedge fund specializing in healthcare investments in 2002. Prior to launching Outer Islands, David was Global Head of Healthcare Investment Banking at Salomon Smith Barney, part of Citigroup. Prior to Salomon, David was Global Head of Healthcare Investment Banking at Union Bank of Switzerland and before that at Hembrecht and Quist, now a part of J.P. Morgan Chase. David spent his first 26 years on Wall Street on the research side specializing in the healthcare sector at Faulkner, Dawkins & Sullivan, Mitchell Hutchins and H & Q before moving into investment banking in 1985. Mr. MacCallum is a graduate of Brown University and Stern School of Business at New York University. Theodore H. Ashford III – President, CIO – Ashford Capital ManagementTed is the Chief Investment Officer of Ashford Capital Management, a $1.3 billion investment firm focused on small cap growth companies. Prior to joining Ashford in 1994, Ted worked for an international management company where he developed corporate services throughout Latin America and established the company base of operations in Miami, FL. Ashford Capital has a successful twenty one year history of investing in small cap growth companies and currently employs eight investment professionals. Mr. Ashford graduated from Harvard with a B.A. in History. Robert Wong CPA, JD– President – McCabe Heidrich & Wong, PCPrior to co-founding McCabe Heidrich & Wong in 1986, Robert was a Partner in the tax practice of Deloitte Haskins + Sells (now Deloitte & Touche) and before Deloitte, Mr. Wong practiced law in New Jersey. Mr. Wong’s practice is centered on tax and consulting for acquisitions, partnerships and trusts and estates. Mr. Wong received his law degree from Hofstra Law School.
